As Darby Dixon sits in a tiny Texas church bathroom on her wedding day holding a positive pregnancy test, she realizes that of all the bad decisions she's made in her life, marrying her abusive fiancé would be the worst. She's never been able to stand up for herself, but she'll sure as hell stand up for her baby. With just the cash she has on hand, she runs to get a bus ticket to the farthest place she can afford. ➳Second chances at finding your TRUE soulmate are very rare, but in this compelling romance story by Jamie McGuire there is only perfection and true admiration... ➳I'm not the biggest fan of romance stories with military or army heroes that have a broken heart and need mending from their true mate, but this one has changed my mind in every retrospective of wanting more of the story when it comes down to Darby and Trex. Scott "Trex" is an alph...

PRE-ORDER Amazon US * Amazon UKI have no shame in admitting I love a good damsel in distress story, especially when her savior is a military man. So when I saw the blurb for Jamie McGuire's newest book you can bet i jumped at the chance to read it. From Here to You is the story of Darby, a runaway bride who left her abusive fiance on her wedding day, and Trex, a retired Marine trying to start over with a new job in the one place he thinks will br...

From Here to You by Jamie McGuire is the first book of the new Crash and Burn contemporary romance series. While this is the opening of a new series apparently the characters in From Here to You were minor players in another series, I believe The Maddox Brothers although I’m not 100% sure as this is my first novel I’ve read from Jamie McGuire myself. Having finished this one and loving it though I can say you don’t need to have read the pre...

From Here to You has everything I should love in a contemporary romance. A woman, Darby, skips out on her wedding day after finding out she is pregnant. The child gave her the strength to run from an abusive relationship.Trex was in the military, worked for the FBI and now works in a classified security job for a secret government project. He sees Darby working at the hotel he's checked into near his new job and instantly knows she is the woman f...

Release Date: August 21, 2018 Genre: Romantic Suspense Actual Rating: 3.5-4 starsJamie McGuire has always been one of my favorite authors as I fell in love with Beautiful Disaster. While none of her other books truly stacked up to that one, I think From Here to You is on that track. It's a sweet, single mother/surprise pregnancy romance with suspenseful elements, and a one of a kind alpha hero. Trex is dreamy. He's a special agent, fiercely pr...

ARC provided via NetGalley for an honest review. I was happy to see that Jamie was releasing a new series. However it was very short lived because for majority of the book, nothing happened!Darby leaves her abusive ex at the altar and flees to start over with and hide from him. She swears off dating and just wants to focus on her and her unborn child. She meets Trex at the hotel that she gets a job at and they have an instant connection. I hate t...

I received a copy of this title to read and review for Wicked Reads 3 Stars I was hooked from page one when a victim of domestic abuse is ready to set foot down the aisle to be married to her abuser. The runaway bride takes off with precious cargo in her belly, with only the bridal gown on her back. This resonated with me for varying reasons. Darby flees to Colorado Springs, and that was yet another tie linking me to the novel itself, as I visit ...

https://lattelily.wordpress.com/2018/...Even though Darby Dixon has made more bad decisions than she can count, she refuses to marry her abusive fiance on the day of their wedding once she figures out she’s pregnant. With a small handful of cash on hand, she escapes from everything she’s ever known on the day of her wedding to start over in Colorado Springs. When she arrives there, she isn’t expecting to meet Scott Trexler. He’s dangerous...

4.5 stars!Loved this one! Familiar trope of run away bride but oh so much intrigue and secrets. It was a page turner from the start. I loved watching Darby come out of her shell. Such a strong woman hiding under all of her baggage. Trex and all of his team are also interesting. I would love to read more about them if the series continues. The Firefighters on the mountain were great secondary characters and well. There is a bit of angst because of...

I wanted to love this book. It looked like something I would love. It's about a woman about to marry a man who is not nice plus she doesn't love. So, with only the wedding dress on her back leaves the church and catches a bus to Colorado Springs for a new start. In Colorado Springs, she meets a handsome man. You can see where this going. It sounds like it should be right up my alley. A runaway bride and a hot marine. I will give From Here to You ...

This book! I ate it up in a day! I don't know how but before I knew it was 50% done. Darby is such a strong character. She learned she was pregnant on her wedding day and instead of marrying an abusive man she chose to run and give her and her unborn child the chance at a better life. This decision also made the future scary and unpredictable. By luck and a personality that seems to draw everyone to her she lands a job at a hotel. This is where e...

"Now I'm here, and she's right across the street, and I have to act like haven't been looking for her my entire adult life."This is a spin-off of the Maddox Brothers books. Even if it isn't an official spin-off, it does have appearances and the timeline is in the same "world". Trex (Scott Trexler) is the FBI agent that was investigating the dorm fire that Travis was involved in. He's on a new assignment and in Colorado. My heart broke for Darby...

4.5 STARS!!Jamie McGuire does it again. This story sucked me in from the very beginning when we met Darby and kept me engulfed until the very end. Jamie McGuire beautifully creates struggling characters that the reader will want to simultaneously shake some sense into and comfort with a tight hug. Darby is strong, independent, and a little bit of a mess. Trex is so caring, but his alpha male role isn’t helping his case. It's amazing to see how ...

Trex likes to make sure Darby is well cared for, “I care about you. A lot. That means I get to take care of you, and I didn’t do a great job tonight.” There are times Trex likes to just loom at his woman, no matter what she's doing, "...gathering my things. Trex followed me into the bathroom, showing me how the shower worked. I began to unbutton my blouse and Trex leaned his back against the door, a half grin on his face." I really liked th...

I haven't read a book by this author in a few years and I am so glad I got the chance to read this one. I loved every part of this book, it was just amazing. I loved Trex and Darby from the first line of their story to the very last. The book is packed full of emotion pulling words and you will find yourself rooting for these two. This was one I couldn't put down. I can't wait to see who else gets a book from this series.

****3.5 Stars****While overall I liked this story I just have to say that I wished I had read some of the previous books by McGuire; I guess Darcy & Trex are minor characters in a previous book, so I would have liked to meet the other characters in that book better, but I can't really complain, it is all my fault I didn't know. Darcy is escaping an abusive relationship, physical, mental and emotional, when she finds herself pregnant. Trex is some...

I received this eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.Release Date: August 21, 2018Darby can't marry her abusive fiance. Not when she finds out that she is pregnant. She can't let her child get hurt by the man she's found herself stuck with. So with the help of a friend, she runs away from Texas in her wedding dress and ends up in Colorado. She hopes that is far enough that he can't find her, and hopefully changing her last name wil...

Darby Dixon never thought her life would turn out quite like this, she currently finds herself sitting in a church bathroom hiding out from a despicable man that she supposed to marry, full well knowing that he doesn't love her the way he should, and she is emotionally and physically exhausted from the constant battles that they have. She knows there is no way she can survive a lifetime with him, especially now that she knows they are expecting a...

It has taken me a few weeks to write my review but I wanted to do this book justice. I realized that I can never sum this book up perfectly for you. Here’s what I can say...Jamie McGuire is back and 100%. If you loved Beautiful Disaster, you’ll love From Here to You. As I read I kept having those same feelings that I did when I read about Travis and Abby. I wanted Trex and Darby to make it, to succeed, to be ok, to love and hold on. These cha...

I have been waiting to devour this book ever since I finished The Maddox Brothers series! I first met Trex back in the stories of Thomas, Taylor and Tyler Maddox. He was sort of an enigma - no one really knew what he did or who he worked for. He was someone the Maddox brothers were unsure of at first - and then he became someone in their inner circle. There was so much mystery surrounding Trex that I just knew his story would be something I neede...

From Here to You is the first installment of Crash and Burn series by Jamie McGuire.Darby and Scott “Trex” are from the previous series called Beautiful, however, you don’t have to read that series in order to read From Here to You. Darby Dixon was about to marry the worst man possible, but he loved her. That should be enough, right? She thought so, until she held the white stick that held two visible lines that stated she was pregnant. She...

"From Here to You" is supposed to be the start to a new series by Jamie McGuire. It's about Darby, who escapes an abusive fiancé on her wedding day. She ends up in a hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she works the front desk and meets Scott 'Trex' Trexler. This had the potential to be a great story but unfortunately it fell short. Even though this book is the start of a new series I kept feeling like I was missing something. Characters w...
