This new addition to the Haven Point, Idaho series, a romance with a mystery that interferes with Megan Hamilton and Elliot Bailey getting involved as a couple, was a great story. Thoughtfully written, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Megan, as well as her brother, Luke, and his two young children, are struggling to move on after Luke’s wife, Elizabeth, went missing. Megan, whose heart is in her talent as a photographer, owns and runs the Inn and cotta...

All I could think when I finished the book was WOW! It just had me on the first page and I resented when I had to stop to eat or sleep! Megan watched with mixed emotions when she saw that it was Elliot Bailey moving into the cottage next door. She knew he was coming and where he was staying because she had taken the online reservation. Elliot believed her brother, Luke, guilty in his wife's disappearance. She had absolute faith that he did not.Re...

There was something about this book, it's sort of a quiet romance. For much of the book it doesn't seem like anything is happening, yet you know that isn't true. Elliott and Megan talk and there is a lot to talk about, but they don't talk about the important thing, how each had a crush at the other. When it finally came out I was glad that they realized what the other thought.I also find myself intrigued by Megan's brother and what happened to hi...

I know when I pick up a RaeAnne Thayne book that I am going to love the story. The Cottages on Silver Beach does it (again) for me! My take on the background of the story (and I have read all the Haven Point books but this is from a standalone point of view) is that Elliot Bailey is severely misunderstood – by his family, by his friends, and by just about everyone who has known or currently knows him. He “goes back home” to Haven Point, and...

We meet the last Bailey in this return to Haven Point. Elliott has been wounded in his job as an FBI agent and returned home to recuperate and finish his novel. Megan owns the inn and cottages where Elliott is staying. Their road to romance was different and filled with the potholes of a cloud hanging over her brother's life. I also found Megan a difficult character to like. All in all it was a fun return to Haven Point and can't wait to see what...

When I first started reading THE COTTAGES ON SILVER BEACH, I didn't realize that this was Book #8 in the Haven Point series. I had only read two other books in this series (Serenity Harbor and Sugar Pine Trail) and although I was able to follow along with this particular story, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more had I been familiar with some of the other characters. I must say, however, that I loved the characters Megan and Elliot. Their histo...

RaeAnne Thayne speaks to the heart of her readers extracting emotion and joy. The Cottages at Silver Beach is an exceptional edition to the Haven Point series. Main characters Eliott Bailey and Megan Hamilton are well-developed, likable characters. It was a joy reading this novel. The language and writing were soothing. I actually could feel the comfort of being Lake Haven. Loved the descriptions of Megan’s photographs. The mystery of Elizabeth...

I absolutely adore RaeAnne Thaynes Haven point series! This book is wonderful! I read the first fourteen chapters in under six hours! I was hooked! Even though this is part of a series you can easily read it as a stand alone book!

I just finished reading The Cottages on Silver Beach by RaeAnne Thayne. I was drawn in by her characters and the complex, "messy" feelings between them. Megan and Elliott, the photographic artist and the FBI agent, had a lot of past history to work through on their way to a loving relationship that neither believed was possible. I love the family loyalty and small town environment. The story was an emotional one for me, and I highly recommend it.

I loved the story of Megan and Elliot. A very sweet heartwarming story that at times brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't put it down. The authors writing has a way that just wraps you up in the story and makes you feel a part of it.My favorite part was when her brother, Luke, stood up for Megan at the art opening. Definitely a very good book, highly recommend it.

Years after betraying her, he’s back in Haven Point…and determined to uncover the truthFor the sake of her brother’s children, innkeeper Megan Hamilton has put her entire life on hold to become their guardian. The last person she wants to ever see again is Elliott Bailey, who she feels is responsible for her brother’s current predicament. But the heat between them is undeniable, and she agrees to help Elliott investigate the cold case tha...

The way that Ms. Thayne writes characters is so captivating! When I get to the end of a book, my first reaction is, "Nooooooo, that can't be the end!" That was definitely the reaction I had with this book. Megan and Elliot are star-crossed lovers from the get-go. I wont write any spoilers as to the history they had in the past but as the book begins, they are once again, put in close proximity and must deal with it. They are older and wiser and a...

I was sent this book by the publisher. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.Have you ever picked up a book and knew within the first few pages you were going to love it? That is how it was with The Cottages of Silver Beach. I had no idea that this was part of a series, but by the time I was on page 12, I was curious about some of the thin...

Megan Hamilton is a talented photographer who also owns and runs cottages on Lake Have. Unfortunately, Elliot Bailey, FBI agent on leave and successful true crime author, moves into the cottage next to hers. He made his reservation online and it’s too late now, she’s stuck with him.Megan and Elliot have an undeniable chemistry but they also have a past that comes between them. This is part of a series but I feel like it could be read as a sta...

My first thought with this book was that it was kind of a departure for Ms. Thayne. One of the main characters, Elliott, is an FBI agent. What? Wait a minute! Okay, here we go...we've got attraction between Elliott and the woman running the inn. Elliott and Megan (kind-of-sort-of) have a past together. No romantic relationship, but a past none the less. And there is definite attraction, no matter how much Megan wants to deny it. Now we're back in...

We return to Haven’s Point to get to know Elliot Bailey and Megan Hamilton’s story. Elliot is the brother of Wyatt, Marshall and Wyn Bailey all of whom we’re met and fell in love with so far in this series. We also get to catch up with all the previous characters of Haven’s Point and find out what they’ve all been up to. This is a typical Raeanne Thayne story of small town love, wonderful neighbors and some ups and downs of every day li...

Right from the first pages I am into this book, letting it take me away. I have read the earlier books in this series and feel like I know Elliot’s family. Both Elliot and Megan’s characters are so well written I feel like they are real, and I get them. The book has me turning the pages in hopes Elliot can solve the cold case of the disappearance of Megan’s missing sister-in-law , and I cannot wait to read her story. I have enjoyed every Ra...

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel of romance curried with serious roadblocks created by circumstances that are unresolved. Both Eliot Bailey and Megan Hamilton are strong characters, each wanting the other but stymied by a past event that overshadows her life and creates a heretofore unsolvable puzzle for him. In their desire to be together, the puzzle (where her brother’s wife disappeared to) has to be resolved in order for Eliot and Megan to mo...

This is a great addition to the Haven Point series. It has everything I like in a book, romance, intrigue, a bit of drams. A good read.

Not Ms. Thayne's best story, but still a pleasant read.
