I Think I Love You (Oxford, #5) by Lauren Layne

I Think I Love You (Oxford, #5)

A game of seduction between two best friends goes deliciously wrong in an irresistible Oxford Novel that brims with wit and sexual tension. Library Journal hails Layne’s work as “exemplary contemporary romance.”   Brit Robbins knows that dating in New York City is hard—she just hoped to have it mastered by age thirty. But after yet another promising suitor says they have no sparks, Brit decides it’s time to torch her dating game and tr...

ARC received for reviewThis is sad it's the end of the Stiletto and Oxford gang. Brit wants help with figuring out why men don't want to stick around after the third date, so she asks her BFF Hunter to help. Of course, in the relationship coaching they fall into bed and eventually in love with lots of help from the gang. Nice end to the series.

This was an adorably sweet friends to lovers office romance with a good dash of angst and now all I can think is that I really need to go binge on all the Lauren Layne things!!!! This was precisely what I needed to pull me out of my book funk. I've started and stopped reading a good handful of books recently and this is the first one that I picked up that wouldn't let me go. With a refreshingly colorful ensemble of characters and a really fun sto...

‘I Think I Love You’ feels like the true end to Lauren Layne’s Oxford series, a not quite full-length tale of the last standing couple, who don’t even know they’re meant to be paired with…yet. Layne tackles the friends-to-lovers trope here and straightaway, I knew it would be a tricky one with questions that needed to be answered—questions that this trope always seems to invite for the pairing to be a believable and satisfying one. ...

4.5 starsReading the final book in the Oxford series is such a bitter-sweet feeling as Hunter and Brit come under the relationship spotlight in this friends to lovers romance.Living and working in Manhattan's fast-paced environment is a long way from Hunter Cross' roots in Kansas. He enjoys his life in 'the city that never sleeps', but it isn't home. He has always viewed his time here as a temporary phase in his life. As a result, his only perman...

5 Stiletto/Oxford Stars!!! ARC kindly provided by publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Loved this!!! Absolutely and completely loved this book. It's always great getting to dive back in with the Stiletto and Oxford world. I actually reread the entire series before reading this book, since this is the last book in the series, and I wanted everything to flow fresh before going in. You get to know Hunter and Brit in I Knew You We...

Brit Robbins is nearing a certain age when most women have already met "the one" and have begun to settle down, but her one just hasn't wandered in to her life yet, there have been plenty of Mr. Wrong's though. Her most recent break-up has her thinking it is her that might be the problem, so she decides to shake up her approach to dating, and she has the perfect man in mind to teach her the ways of seduction. Hunter Cross always seems to have goo...

The final installment of the Stiletto and Oxford series by Lauren Layne does not disappoint. It's one of my favorite types of romances to read, the friends-to-lovers stories, and Layne executes it beautifully. All of the characters from previous books make an appearance, so the reader has a chance to check in with each of them one last time as well. It can get a little confusing to keep track of all of the secondary characters, so if you have it ...

ARC received by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.I’ve long been a fan of this author and particularly her series work. I loved her Stiletto series and her Oxford series and frankly, I’m a little bummed that this is the end of that world. As much as I love her characters and the romance and I adore a good friends to lovers trope, the one other thing that I’ve always loved and appreciated about these two series is how ...

Lauren Layne has recently become a favorite author of mine. Her writing has a great style and is fresh in the world of contemporary romance. I have previously read the Oxford and Stiletto series and I Think I Love You fits in perfectly. When I read I Knew You Were Trouble (the book in the series right before this one), I immediately wanted more of Hunter and Brit. I'm glad that LL decided to write about these two. They had great chemistry and a w...

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I discovered Lauren Layne last year and have been making my way through her books. I haven't read any of the other Oxford series books and I not only had no problem reading this one but now I'm dying to go back and read the others.I loved Brit and Hunter's relationship both before and after they start dating. They were just so much fun to watch together and they're so comfortable with each other. You know they're going to get t...

I Think I Love You is a fun friends to lovers romance. It is book #5 in a series, but it works as a standalone. I haven't read any of the previous books, and while there were a lot of secondary characters to keep track of that were from previous books, I didn't feel like I was missing any necessary information for this book. I loved the friendship that Hunter and Brit had and enjoyed reading about their relationship as it evolved. I was rooting f...

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) So I am pretty sure that I wont request another book from this author and maybe I am being harsh, but this is the second book I have read from this author that just didn't do much for me and while I didn't hate the first book I read from her I kind of hated this one. Why you may ask? Being one of the main characters was a jerk and while I have read other books that the main character was an ass they t...

I think I love you is a cute fast pace romance that readers will love because it when best friends finally realize they are perfect for each other. This story isn't anything new but the author has created a cast of characters that readers will fall in love with. ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for a review. 4.5 Stars. AHHH I was eagerly anticipating reading Brit and Hunter's story! I love the friends to lovers trope and while I feel like I have definitely read this story before, it's a Lauren Layne so I automatically devoured it in one sitting. While we don't get any sexy times until about sixty-five percent of the way through the story, it really worked for Brit and Hunter so that their actual fri...

Hunter and Brit have a very open relationship, Brit is like an open book, even those times where I'm sure Hunter wished she wasn't: “Um, because my eggs are rotting?” she said, waving a palm in the general area of her midsection. Hunter winced. “Oh God. Never mind.”Does Hunter get jealous? No, not him, not at all, “forget the da*n mock-ups,” he snapped, turning back toward her and crossing his arms. “How about you tell me what the h...

4 starsOh how I loved this series. I didn't realize this was going to be the last book! I felted when I realized this was it!Hunter and Brit, the last 2 standing, have realized (finally) that maybe they are more than friends. Maybe it has always been there all along. They are nest friends, but might have had feelings for each other. It takes Brit asking for help dating, to make Hunter realize that he doesn't want her with anyone else.I am a huge ...

I never wanted this/these series to end, but if they had to...what a book to go out on! Brit and Hunter bring friends to lovers on a whole new level and I loved experiencing it with them. Their friendship is fun, their sexy times are scorching, and their story is just one you can't help rooting for. The other characters all make an appearance and it's just the ending the Stiletto and Oxford crews deserve!

Brit and Hunter have been friends for years but when Brit asks Hunter to be her seduction coach, their dynamic slowly changes. Both start to realize how important the other is in their life. I loved getting to see the Stiletto and Oxford friends, I mean characters! These people are so real and having them all together again was awesome!

A great story about friends to lovers. The two main characters Hunter and Brit are both great characters. I enjoyed the chemistry and was cheering for them from the beginning. I enjoyed the banter between the characters. This is my first book I read in the series however I can't wait read them all. I would recommend this book.

What a wonderful way to end this incredible series! Brit and Hunter made this slow burning, friends to lovers story impossible to put down. From slapping your forehead at their obvious denial to cheering their finally giving in, their story was full of witty dialogue, steamy chemistry, and deep emotion. I’m sad to see the Stiletto/Oxford series end but it was really a perfect ending.
