Easily without a doubt in my mind, the best book Jenny Colgan has ever written. My only regret was that I hadn't started it earlier in the day so that I could have read it in one sitting. In fact, please don't waste your time reading this review, just go buy the book now, settle down in your comfy reading spot and read that instead, it will be a far better and more enjoyable use of your time. Why?Well that's because the book is brilliant. It is h...

Doesn't the cover make you want to dive right in? Well it does for me as I am a huge Jenny Colgan fan. If you haven't read any of her books I would strongly recommend them with a big mug of tea and a biscuit or two. This story is all about life on Mure it follows on from the seaside kitchen where we first meet all the wonderful residents that live there. The characters make you feel as though your part of the community and shows you that no matte...

I may have said previously in reviews I don't like tasters. This is a sampler of the first two chapters of Jenny Colgan's book The Endless Beach set on the fictitious Island of Mure. So, what is he doing requesting this romantic fiction piece clearly aimed at a female audience?Good question. However, I do like good authors and Jenny had evidence of a long list of best-selling novels that she is excellent at what she does and highly respected in th...

A generous 2 star read, that really only merited 1 and a half stars at most. I usually like Jenny Colgan for some light reading. But this is just awful. Not only does the storyline drag, but the writing is abysmal. There are far too many offshoots, hyphenated additions and bracketed information, that it disrupts the flow of the reading. Not only that but four year old Agot is the singularly most annoying character I have ever come across. Has Jen...

I was really looking forward to reading this follow on to the seaside kitchen and hearing more about the people who live there and it didn't let me down at all so well written and a simple read with great characters you can really imagine yourself there on the island as described it so well. It's romantic I'm places but upsetting in others as well and you are hooked from the first page. So readable I really do recommend you get it. The book is st...

All reviews can be found on my blog at https://thewritinggarnet.wordpress.comI will warn you now - my review of Jenny Colgan's new novel will not do the book justice in the slightest. The only way you're going to be able to appreciate such outstanding, literary craftsmanship, is by grabbing a copy for yourself, turning off every link to the outside world, and delve into a story which you will never want to leave.I have been a huge fan of Jenny Co...

What a heart warming yet bittersweet story. I am not ready to let these characters go, I want another book with their story to continue.

I previously read the sampler (first two chapters) of this book and was thrilled to receive the full version to be able to review. This was another superb story from Mure, a fictional Scottish Island, that's full of wilderness, heartache and traditions. Jenny's previous stories based here are "The Summer Seaside Kitchen" and the Quick Read "A Very Distant Shore" and whilst she introduced the background to the story, I think it would be a good idea...

FULL REVIEW ON MAY 21, 2018"It took a few pages to get everyone connected and to grab my interest, but the bakery, the whales, and the atmosphere on the Isle of Mure made it a very appealing read.If you enjoy being in a quaint, lovely place and enjoy visiting with unforgettable, lovable characters, THE ENDLESS BEACH is a book you won’t want to miss. 4/5This book was given to me free of charge and without compensation by the publisher in return ...

It's been a while since I've read a book by Jenny Colgan, and The Endless Beach was the perfect way to re introduce myself to her stories. It's warming and gorgeous, packed with characters the reader will love and a delightful island setting that is brought brilliantly to life.Flora runs the Summer Seaside Kitchen, a small cafe alongside the Endless Beach. Whilst the cafe is popular and has become the heart of the community, Flora is struggling t...

Lately Jenny Colgan was proving with her every new release what a brilliant author she is, and each of her book was better than the previous one. However, with "The Endless Beach", she has probably outdone herself - this book is perfect in every way. I would go that far and say that it's probably Jenny Colgan's best yet. This book has fulfilled all of my expectations and more. It is heart - warming, uplifting, emotional and incredibly realistic, ...

Mure and its inhabitants have stolen my heart! After a bit of a slow start, I really warmed up to this story and its characters. Set on a beautiful Scottish island called Mure, it's everything you could ever want from a peaceful island existence. Being a remote island though, it's all about knowing your neighbours and it's clear that your neighbours clearly know all about you, as Flora and the other characters in the story can attest to!Having not...

This book encompasses such a lot – love, family, resettlement of refugees, island life, to mention just a few – and it’s so well written you feel yourself being absorbed into the island of Mure and the endless beach. The author includes a small section of information catching you up on who is who, what, where and why and this sets the scene beautifully. Instead of trying to work everyone out, I just sank into the story – and a wonderful st...

Jenny Colgan doesn’t disappoint. In this we have a wonderfully warm ensemble of characters and it’s a real feel-good story. The story of Flora and the other characters who make their way to this remote island is one that touches your heartstrings. Humorous, loving and a genuine fondness for these characters is on every page.

Without doubt The Endless Beach is the best book Jenny Colgan has ever written. Once I started this brilliant read, I easily finished it within a couple of hours as I became so entranced by the magic of the island of Mure and by the astonishingly excellent storylines and characters. This books packs a real emotional punch and readers would be forgiven that they weren't going to find such emotions and feelings running through what many would term ...

The Endless Beach by jenny Colgan a refreshing five-star read. I will be honest and admit it took me two attempts to start this book, but I think it’s me as it’s the second book in as many weeks that I have been salivating to read and then when I’ve started it I can’t sink my teeth into it. But I’m so glad I kept with it, it turned into what I’m sure will be one of the best reads this year. You always see words like ‘Charming’ ‘...

I don't think you would want to do anything other than move to Mure and drink coffee in Annie's Seaside Kitchen after reading Jenny Colgan's latest offering. It follows the inhabitants of the island and the dilemmas they are facing. Flora and Joel's relationship is in trouble, every step forward they take seems to set them two steps back. Saif, the islands refugee doctor is anxiously awaiting news of his family while trying to settle into his new ...

Another great read from Jenny Colgan, I always enjoy her books and this is no exception. The Endless Beach is a sequel to The Seaside Kitchen, although can be read without reading this book first. We join Flora again on the beautiful island of Mure, who is now running the Seaside Kitchen. Things are looking good but her relationship with Joel seems to be experiencing some problems. In this book Jenny doesn't just focus on Flora, she explores the r...

The Endless Beach set on a tiny island where everyone knows everyone and nothing is every private. A lovely story about family, relationships, fitting in as an outsider and how issues from childhood can still impact you as an adult. I really enjoyed this book although found it a little slow to get going in the beginning. Another lovely story from Jenny Colgan that you can snuggle down and read on a winters evening.

I love a Jenny Colgan book. Having only discovered her in the last year or so she's now one of my most read authors of all time as I'm managed to work my way through a significant chunk of her backlist. The Endless Beach is set back on the Isle of Mure and back to the story of Flora from The Summer Seaside Kitchen. It's a perfect sequel to that book but what I love about Jenny's books is that even if you haven't read the previous book she include...

As far as I can tell, this is Jenny Coghlan at her best. Having been given a sample of this book I look forward to reading the rest.Set on an island, Mure, the day to day life and main characters are described so well.Flora runs her own business, the Seaside Kitchen which thrives even out of season. She is in a relationship with Joel whom she has secretly set her sights on, long ago.An immigrant doctor, Saif, is first introduced whilst walking on...

I am a big fan of Jenny Colgan’s books, and who wouldn’t be with titles like Little Street Bakery and Meet Me at the Cupcake Café? My favorite book has always been The Bookshop on the Corner, and it’s the #1 book I recommend to friends. So I was ecstatic to receive a copy of The Endless Beach! I realized once I started reading the book, that this is actually part 2, the first book being The Café by the Sea. Even though I had read the book...

I really enjoyed the Endless Beach, it immediately pulls you into the lives of the Mure residents, where they all intertwine, but each have their own story to tell.
