Hawkyn and Aurora"Are you my guardian angel?""Long story, but no."Another book from the Demonica Underworld which is awesome! And I have no words to describe to ýou how much I have really missed this world. If I don't get my yearly fix, I get depressed...This book is another trip at the world of Memitim, i.e. the children of Azagoth and various angels. There are so many children, half brothers and sisters that they can create a small army. Earth...

4 STARS At this moment, he seemed to be both angel and demon, because what he was doing to her was nothing short of evil, but he was so damned good at it. It's no secret that I'm obsessed with all things Larissa Ione writes. Having read her entire backlist, I don't think there's been one book of hers that I didn't thoroughly enjoy, and this one was no exception. While the story is set in her Demonica world, new readers wouldn't feel lost. The...

I can’t even explain to you how excited I was to get the chance to read this story. I’ve had Larissa Ione’s Pleasure Unbound (Demonica #1) on my TBR for ages and jumped at the chance to sample her work. And what an amazing journey this was!Hawkyn was amazing! He was refreshingly honest with his frustrations regarding his current assignment and the way that his job was structured. He knew that things needed to change and was determined to fi...

3.5 starsHawkyn and Aurora's story......Another good entry into the Demonica world ,and what a world Larissa has created, one of my favorite pnr series and I see the next book will crossover with Lexi Blake's series, looks good. This one had a shocker towards the end with Azagoth and his mate and I was left hanging as his mate had left him and it was not resolved in this book!

4 starsIt was with much excitement that I picked up this book and slipped effortlessly into the Demonica world once again. Specifically, into the Underworld, as we are introduced to Hawkyn, a type of guardian angel or “memitim”, and the son of Azagoth and brother to Idess. It’s fast paced and exciting, with a real heartfelt warmth to it, and of course a fun and sexy romance with a strong paranormal element that I love!If you haven’t read ...

Hawkyn is a memitim, a special kind of guardian angel who was raised by humans and whose sole purpose in life is to help protect primori, humans who have an important role to play in heaven's plans for humanity. His main goal in life is to do enough to earn his place in heaven so that he can have a role in improving the lives of his fellow memitim siblings and if that means protecting a serial killer until he can complete his destiny then no matt...

Reviewed for Romancing the Readers Blog: https://romancingthereaders.blogspot....I love this series and can't get enough of it. My favorite books are male driven stories. I think that's because I want to see how the other half lives and thinks. Of course since my guys are written by women I'm getting what I want from the males because it's kinda what the author wants too and we are on the same wavelength. I'm okay with that. But I also find how m...

Ok, so before I start this review I have to let you guys know that this series (and author) are near and dear to my heart.  Now, you may think that will color my review but I can assure you that if this latest installment wasn't as amazing as I was hoping it would be, I just wouldn't way anything about it.  But, that was SO not the case.  Hawkyn was everything I knew it would be and a bag of chips. Yup, it was that good. Here's the thing abou...

As always, PERFECTION!! Larissa Ione takes us back to her Demonica world and it's like we never left. For a short story this packs a punch. It had all the elements I love about this world. I would so love to see a new full series set in this world! I hope it's in the cards, but for now making do with these 1001 Dark Nights novellas is really not so bad, not bad at all.

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I always get excited when a new book set in the Demonica world comes out.  And yes, I admit, a little part of me is disappointed that it isn't a full length novel and instead is a novella.  What can I say, I'm greedy?  But the Demonica World series of novellas is a great way to stay in touch wit...

Larissa Ione is one of my favorite authors. I'm always eager to gobble up one of her books. She's been writing these novellas of the Demonica Underworld for awhile now. I don't know if we are going to get all of Azagoth's children (that would be A LOT) but I guess we're getting some key ones. I liked the book and it took an interesting turn in the end. I will say I was surprised that (view spoiler)[Lilliana left Azagoth (not for a bad reason but ...

Hawkyn is a special earth-bound angel known as a Memitim, and his job is to protect his Primori: humans, who for whatever reason, are destined to make an impact on all humankind. Hawkyn has lived centuries under the strict heavenly rules, waiting for the day he can ascend and sit on the Memitim Council so he can make changes to their archaic ways. But when he steps in to protect Aurora from his serial killer Primori, Hawkyn begins to stray from t...

Things you should know: 1. I love 1001 Dark Nights Novellas. 2. This is one of my favorite Paranormal Romance series. 3. Larissa Ione is a go to- one click author for me. Knowing all that though don't let it color y review for you when I say that I loved Hawkyn, haha. As always with these novella's it is a bit hard to truly review them in too much detail because it is too easy to easily give something away but what I can tell you is how emotional...

5 wytchy and angelic stars for HAWKYN! When earthbound guardian angel Hawkyn saves the life of half-Wytch (with a Y) Aurora Mercer after she's abducted by the serial killer he's meant to watch over, he inadvertently sets off a battle that will no doubt end in death. Hawkyn is distraught over whether he interfered with his charge's destiny, determined to both keep the killer and the woman safe. For hundreds of years, Hawkyn has wanted nothing more...

Larissa Ione is one of the greatest Paranormal romance authors and I love her Demonica underworld series and every storyline that comes out of it. The story of Hawkyn was a great read, getting to know another one of the Grim reapers kids always fascinates me, the way Larissa develops these characters is crazy, you end up being so invested in their storyline and you then find it hard to put the book down. I appreciate how Larissa keeps these chara...

I enjoyed this book like I do with all her work. But I feel like the Azagoth and Lilliana situation overpowered Hawkyn's story and made it less. It made me a little sad and I really hope it's resolved in the next book Her Guardian Angel when it comes out in April. I really don't like when past HEA's are shook up. I know it will be fixed but I didn't like it at all.

As always excellent world building and great chemistry between the leads Hawkyn and Aurora. New paranormal beings are always introduced in the series and this is no exception. The world is set in the Demonica Underworld and Hawk is one of the memitim, the angel hybrid offsprings of Azagoth and his current assignment is to protect a serial killer. This leads him to Aurora, a victim of said serial killer. So breaking all rules he decides to save he...

« It was meant to be. All of it. »« Real change comes from tragedy. It’s how humans grow. »Totally awesome. This book felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. Completely insane.Where to even start… She was imprisoned and tortured by a serial killer. An angel rescued her and flashed them both to his father’s realm, Sheoul-gra or… Hell. Except that nothing went as planned… « Are you my guardian angel? »« Long story, but no. »...

I just love this author. The Demonica series is one of my favorite series ever. This author is an auto buy for me. That said, the 1001 Dark Nights novellas in this series are always a fun addition, even if they aren't a vital addition. I enjoy every word, though I am anxiously awaiting an actual book by this author. But these stories do help tide me over! And as much as I love this series, I honestly don't know how she can top Rever, so I'm hopin...

This was my least favorite of the Demonica Underworld novellas. While I can usually suspend reality for this type of book, the MCs' chemistry felt too forced. I understand there's very little time to introduce new characters and build them up to a HEA in a novella, and usually Ione pulls it off in a satisfying way. This one just didn't do it for me. Also, I really didn't like Azagoth in this story, and I've always enjoyed his character in previou...

Okayish ? This is a short story and I did not really appreciate have it cut out of 1/3 of its content to tell the story of our hero father continued story. Demonica books are not known for their depth, lets be honest, but it is a very very limited relationship buiding Larissa Ione offers us, since she (unwisely) decided to use (too)many pages of not many pages to tell someone else (boring) story. There is only one possible tag for this kind of boo...

I always love novellas. Aside from the main plot we find out so many things about our favorite characters.I can't wait for more because Lillian being "on vacation", doesn't stay well with me, nor with Azagoth apparently :))))

3.5This kills me cause I love Larissa and she can usually do so much in 125 pages. This installment was just ok for me. The second half was better than the first but which saved it for me.

First I have to say that I have never read any books by Larissa Ione before but I have been wanting to for a while. This is book 11.5 of the Demonica series and book 5 of the Demonica Underworld series and I was surprised that I actually had no problems following along in this book at all. Hawkyn is a fantastic novella that got me hooked from the very beginning. The story is fantastic and now I want to read the other books in these 2 series and ot...

I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review can be found on *Milky Way of Books*I never stop to carve more of the world Larissa Ione has made! Her novellas after the ending of the main series focus on separate pairs with some cameo appearances of the first characters. Hawkyn is a Menitim tasked to watch over humans who play a crucial role in the world. Even when he has to watch over a serial killer. But when he saves a witch from...

I am so glad we are still getting stories from the Demonica world, especially when we get snippets from earlier characters. For this book, I really liked both of the main characters and thought they really went well together. I found it interesting that Hawkyn would have to protect a serial killer but I hadn't really thought about how there would be both good and bad people the Mimintum would have to protect. It really showed how much the Mimintu...
