I close Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax with a sigh of satisfaction. I've had a few laugh out moments, wiped a tear away and generally loved being back with the women who form this strongly forged band of friendship. So Maddie is still with rock star Will and finding her way in that relationship, and how will it affect her life at Mermaid Point and her beloved Kyra and Dustin.Krya meanwhile is coping with being on the set of a movie with Dustin who ...

I could have sworn that I read part of the "Ten Beach Road" series before this book. However, when I checked it out, I had not. Apparently, these characters are so well written that I felt comfortable with them right away which just gave me the impression I had spent time with them before. There is lots going on in this book which focuses on a group of five friends who have lots of problems that they help each other with and through. There are a l...

My Review of “Best Beach Ever” by Wendy Wax Berkely Publishing Group Publishing Date: May 22, 2018Author Wendy Wax , “Best Beach Ever” has written an enjoyable, heartwarming, emotional and captivating novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction and Women’s Fiction. The timeline of this story is mostly in the present only going back a few years when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. Thank you to for the opportunity to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.#6 in the series (are we counting the novella?) and I still look forward to these books. I probably relate most to Maddie but Avery is my favorite. I think its because every time I read these books I get an insane craving for the Laura Scudder’s puffy cheese things of my childhood in the royal blue bag (and no, Puffy Che...

I will admit that of the Ten Beach Road series Best Beach Ever is only the 2nd one I've read after Ten Beach Road itself. I enjoyed the first one immensely, thoroughly engaged with the characters and their commitment to learning about each other as strangers and solving their collective problem.Sadly, I thought Best Beach Ever was utterly BORING. When did these strong, competent ladies turn into whiners? Does author Wendy Wax get an outrageously ...

Enjoyable. Light. I wish Wax would do some research into how babies/children communicate because the inaccuracies in this area make me crazy. And the consistent use of subordinate clauses masquerading as complete sentences throws me for a loop. These are minor details, but they are irritating enough to make me cringe. Otherwise, I like the sisterhood; women supporting each other is so pleasant and something to which we should aspire.

It's always a delight to return to the ladies of Ten Beach Road. I was lucky enough to read this one pre-publication and give it a solid thumbs up read.

3.5 *, rounded up to 4!I have a confession...even though I had every intention to read the other Ten Beach Road novels before I read Best Beach Ever... I didn't. I have no excuse except life got in the way. Even so, I would definitely say that Best Beach Ever *could* be read as a standalone; however, I fully plan to read the earlier novels to gain more on the back story. I love novels that center around female friendships (maybe because my normal...

I love a good beach read ... I am familiar with Wendy, I have yet to read any of her books so far, this is my 1st one. I loved it. I am new to the series ... I am so thinking when I get the chance I will start at the beginning ... to get more to these characters. I think you can read them separately but might enjoy the whole beginning to end kind of fill of them all. For me I really felt or could understand Nikki life more than the other ladies ....

We meet the women still at the Sunshine Hotel & Beach Club. They all have important decisions to make about their lives and how to move forward. Maddie is going on tour with Will but feels like she is not herself since she is not doing anything, Avery is in love with Chase but can't commit, Kyra is still upset about having to rent out Bella Flora and agreeing to let her son, Dustin, be in a movie with his father, Nikki is struggling with being a ...

I keep thinking I’m growing tired of this series but then enjoy the next installment so much. This was no exception. AND the door has been left open for more to come!!

Summer must be getting close because the women of Ten Beach Road are back at the beach with an entertaining new novel. I have only read the first two novels in this series and was a bit confused at times so I suggest that you read the series in order. That said, now I have the fun of going back to the beginning and reading all the adventures of the eclectic group of friends. The group of friends in this book give us a bit of everything that bother...

The women of 10 Beach Road are back and I couldn't be happier! Reading the book is catching up with old friends. You are rooting for them to succeed in all they do- love, family and careers - and want to be toasting the sunset on the beach with them. Nicki is struggling to lose the baby weight and be super Mom to her twins while Joe is traveling for work. Avery is afraid to let her heart trust the love she feels for Chase after her hurt her. Bits...

Best Beach Ever is the 6th entry in the Ten Beach Road series by Wendy Wax. According to Goodreads: “After giving up their renovation-turned-reality-TV-show Do Over, the ladies of Ten Beach Road move into cottages at the Sunshine Hotel and turn their beloved Bella Flora over to its wealthy mystery tenant. Now, each woman will be forced to reexamine and redefine her life, relationships, and dreams.” I enjoy beach reads and was looking forward ...

My first introduction to this series, I loved Wendy Wax’s ability to create nuanced characters with relationships that felt plausible and possible, and she’s managed to carry that into this story, making the women compelling, intriguing and most of all, people you want to know. As the sixth in the series, I did expect that some of the background events may play into finding the friendships and progression difficult, but Wax gives just enough ...

The gals are back again!!! (However, this can be read as a stand alone novel.) They’ve got new challenges to enthrall us! Bella Flora has been rented out to a former nemesis of Kyra, Troy, who now is claiming that he has always loved her. But Kyra is definitely not buying it and we will have to see where this goes – but don’t be so sure you can predict everything.Kyra meanwhile has agreed to let her son, Dustin, be in his father Daniel’s ...

Best Beach Ever is a perfect book to start my summer. I want to go stay with Nikki, Kyra, and the rest of the wonderful women. I want the beach sunsets with the women toasting their lives, the listening to the trials of their days, and to find the happiness they find with each other and in their lives together. There are many sub-stories that come together to tell the story of the Ten Beach Road ladies. Anyone who reads should find at least one c...

I really wanted to like this book. I was looking forward to a fun, light, summer read. But it turned out to be mostly depressing.Every one of the main characters was dealing with some sort of life problem, and none of them were handling it well. It felt like they were all afraid of their own emotional shadows, and there was a lot of whining, whimpering, and out and out crying going on. As one was even told in the book, they all needed to ‘get a...

It’s always so much fun catching up with the ladies of ‘Ten Beach Road’. The sisterhood bond keeps getting stronger and the love and respect these women have for each other makes me long for the same bonds in my own life. I enjoy watching each woman grow and develop as she is challenged. Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, and Bitsy are each at different roads in their life, and each are facing different problems, but each and every one of them com...

Best Beach Ever was a delightful conclusion to the Ten Beach Road series. This is Book #6 in the series and I strongly recommend that at least some of the previous books be read prior to reading this one, especially Book #1 - Ten Beach Road. This series tells the struggle several women must endure and how their friendship brings each of them through to their very own happily-ever-after. The core of this friendship circle is Maddie, who seems to h...

I really need to stop signing up for ARC copies from of books that are not the first in their series. In the case of Best Beach Ever, the sixth (and last?) installment in Wendy Wax's Ten Beach Road series, I feel like had I read the earlier novels I might have understood the characters' motivations better which, in many cases, would have probably made me like them a little more. Kyra's uncompromising dislike and suspicion of Troy an...

I have read this series from the beginning, and I have to say that this book was one of my favorites. I loved how the author makes us feel like we are visiting with old friends. I feel like I am practically on the beach with them toasting the sunset with "one good thing".The challenges the ladies face are all things most women face; relationships, motherhood, financial difficulties, empty nesting, etc. While I see a little of myself in each of th...

By far one of the best series I have ever read! It was a perfect summer series/ beach read that transports you to the kind of home that we dream of. One where your heart, your friends and your family all return their toes to the sand and to their sunset tradition. The stories of these ladies on “bestie row” each provide their own little escape and fantasy whilst giving a chick lit audience the hope that life can make a come back that surpasse...

I received a copy of this from Goodreads and the publisher in exchange for an honest review! All opinions my own.I like series books because the characters, if they're well-written, get to be friends. I've been fond of all the women in the Ten Beach Road series from the beginning, even when they're doing dumb, dumb things, so this was comforting and enjoyable in that way. And it resolved a few things that have always bothered me - how badly Danie...

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced readers copy of this one. I came to this series late, but am so glad that I found it! The latest episode of the Ten Beach Road series wrapped up several continuous storylines and created several new ones. Maddie, Avery, Nicki and Kyra all moved to self discovery in this book. I especially loved Kyra’s story in this one, where she moves into a strong person and a ferocious mother. Lyra starts to realize what ...

Let me begin by saying that I am a lover of all things Wendy Wax. She is no doubt one of my favorite authors and I feel like I won the lottery when I got to read an advanced copy of the next Ten Beach Road series. This book starts the ladies down a new path as their reality show “Do Over” has come to and end and each must figure out what they are going to do now. The thing I like most about this series is how likable these ladies are and how ...

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book through First To Read by Penguin Random House. This has to be one of my favorite book series. I just love anything at the beach. But this series makes you really love all of these characters. I love the progression of their lives, from the beginning when they met at Bella Flora, until now especially with the addition of Bitsy. All of the characters feel like someone you can relate to and that's wha...
